Geisha really inspire one to create :)

For this piece, I decided to try and create my own take on an old Japanese woodblock by Keisai Eisan ga, of a geisha doing her makeup in front of a mirror [link]

(I might be interested in creating a body of work with this concept, deriving some ideas from various, very flat, ancient works)
